Ladies and gentleman, this is The era of new materials, and specifically a revolutionary nano material Graphene. Material that has granted Nobel prize in physics and has a strength of a diamond, atomic thinness, transparency and light absorbance characteristics on nano scale, electrical (semi) conductivity, high magnetic properties, light x-ray absorbance on certain bandwidth stripes….the list goes on.
Until today, Graphene was produced mainly in lab environments on a small scale due to costs and throughput limitations of classical approaches. This is going to change with new MIT invetion to mass-manufacture Graphene film on scale. http://news.mit.edu/2018/manufacturing-graphene-rolls-ultrathin-membranes-0418
According to MIT, it enables long awaited application for molecular scale filtering applications, where this material can be considered extremely useful.
I`m eager to see the commercialisation applications of this material.
